Position Overview
We're seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to join our Starship team. You'll lead system testing for the Starship Vehicle, developing procedures and tools to verify vehicle health before pad deployment. This role is crucial in accelerating our production and launch cadence while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Master vehicle avionics/propulsion architecture and integrated systems operations
- Establish and implement test criteria and pass/fail requirements
- Create validation procedures for rapidly evolving spacecraft
- Drive testing efficiency and safety improvements
- Real-time hardware troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Collaborate with design, build, and systems engineering teams
- Lead training initiatives for production and engineering teams
- Define requirements for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) projects
- Optimize Starship production line efficiency and minimize cost/ton to orbit
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 1+ years hands-on engineering experience (including design teams/internships)
Preferred Skills
Technical Expertise
- Systems engineering and multi-disciplinary integration
- Electrical and fluid schematics interpretation
- Propulsion and electrical systems testing
- Complex test operations management
- Test software development and automation
- Test equipment design and operation
- Software development (Rust, Python preferred)
Operational Excellence
- Proven track record in streamlining test operations
- Experience writing test plans and procedures
- Ability to make and justify go/no-go decisions
Additional Requirements
- Up to 15% travel to launch sites
- Ability to pass Air Force background checks (Cape Canaveral/Vandenberg)
- Flexibility to work all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed
Compensation
Base Salary Ranges
- Level I: $95,000 - $115,000/year
- Level II: $110,000 - $130,000/year
Final compensation depends on experience, skills, education, and other relevant factors
